What we did on the Fourth of July, 2022

July 4, 2022. Kayaking on South Lake. This photo of us from Nat's drone!

We spent the Fourth of July at Nat's house on the lake. It's a very beautiful and serene place, and even at its most crowded, it's pretty wide open, with far more birds and trees than boats and people. Luckily, it's not very tempting to noisy, wave-making speed boats, so kayaking is a real pleasure there.

A wonderful and typical meal: grilled burgers and more.

In the Park: Fireworks!

Nice! The speedy boats make lake life miserable where they can, so it is great that this lake is not so inviting for them.

Somebody took care with their baking. What a beautiful pie!

A beautiful spot to kayak, and an excellent photo from an ideal point of view.

How far away is that lake from you in Ann Arbor? It looks isolated but nice. It's great how you captured the fireworks wow.
