Asparagus Season

Asparagus is in season. We saw it in the market in Arles, and I'm sure we'll see it in the Paris market too, if we get there. I have eaten it several times; the three photos show the most beautiful arrangements on the plate. I imagine I'll eat more.

I love each and every one of those arrangements. (What was in the center of the square "frame"--it's gorgeous! I am an asparagus lover, too, and no time better than right now! Savor!

Nothing says spring more clearly than asparagus (well, rhubarb and strawberries too)

Indeed asparagus season, and tonight we're having asparagus pizza with shaved Parmesan and bits of pepperoni. Enjoy your travels and all the good eating!

White asparagus - yum. Cheers from Carole's Chatter!

I tried white asparagus once but there wasn't a huge difference in flavor, especially when you considered what Fresh Market charges! But you are fortunate enough to be in France and I know they pick it when it's best to serve within days. Wish I was there! Love the presentations.

I love the presentation of those asparagus dishes! Great to be able to enjoy it fresh from the fields. Here where I live, they are imported.
