Home Again

Here we are back home. We bought some Lithuanian bread
at the Russian Gourmet in Fairfax and will be trying it tonight.
We miss Alice, who made us a beautiful salad to go with dinner
last night.
We drove from Fairfax to Ann Arbor today.
The spring flowers there are considerably more advanced than here.
Dinner on our last night in Fairfax: vegetables, scallops, and fish cooked on the grill.

It seems I always leave hungry when I visit your blog, Mae. I'm so glad you were able to make that trip. I'm sure your family is, too. I would eat every bit of that salad and the veggies, but you may keep the scallops, even though I really like them.

It's been forever since I had rye bread and I love it. Yours looks delicious. I'm not familiar with that wine, but I'm not really a wine drinker, anyway. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos, mouth watering food, and your wonderful trip with us for T this almost Tuesday. So glad you are home, but also glad you had a good time on your trip, dear.

Beautiful weather there! Glad that grill season has arrived there. We had some snow yesterday, not really cold, but it still amazed me that it snowed in April.

Oh. Ingo´d be there in a minute for that BBQ!
Wow.
Sadly our balcony is too small for such a thing.
You leave me hungry.

You had such a wonderful trip! All that lovely food. I looked back on your blogs about Fairfax and the one shop that stands out for me is the pasty shop. They really look like Cornish pasties. Although they have all sorts of non-traditional fillings, I bet they were delicious.
I spot a Cotes du Rhone wine. One of my favorites. I haven't drank that in many years.
How was the Russian bread? It's rye bread, so will have been delicious.
The BBQ looks great. Yes, Spring has arrived.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
