Great collection, the second, though... We have so many ads where men explain how to clean to women and ARGH! Mr Proper, or, as you call him, Mr Clean, is back here, driving me a tad nuts! Washing machines, etc... same in your place?
@Iris -- the dry cleaning sign was under a facade that was recently removed from that building. The paint on it is peeling and old. It probably dates from the 1950s, when dry cleaning fluids were not recognized as highly toxic. So it's a remnant of the past. About your general comment: Americans have never been as systematic about house cleaning as Germans!!
@Angie -- a few people (mainly also masked) were walking around as we took our walk. Some shops are open and to our surprise one barber shop was giving haircuts as we went by. The bookstore takes phone orders and delivers them outdoors but no browsing.
We haven't walked much through Clayton or the Loop, but there are a fair number of people around. Not as many as there used to be, of course, but we'd pass several on each block. Fun post -- thanks.
You found some great photos to share on your walk. I really enjoyed seeing all of these and I really LOVED the mural. But the quotes on the bookstore were fabulous.
