More street art

On our trip last week, we looked for birds and art almost every day! Here are a few more of the beautiful outdoor art works from Charlottesville and Havre de Grace.

Charlottesville, Virginia: Murals

Havre de Grace, Maryland: Outdoor Art

This incorporates the Maryland flag.

From the state website.

The start of a mural on a wall that extends for almost an entire city block

The other end of the mural showing the boy with the puzzle pieces.

A giant collection of murals on a vacant lot near the Chesapeake Bay.

There are many more at this site, but it's time to stop!

This is fabulous. Street art adds so much to a town, I think. I'd go there just to see the murals.

This is starting to put my Wichita murals to shame. There were so many I loved, but my favorites were the bee in the sunflowers, the submarine and pipes, and musicians and dancers in silhouette.

It's amazing how a simple mural can transform a drab building into something pretty.

Well-conceived and well-executed murals can have such a positive impact on the urban landscape, as you so ably demonstrate here.

We've got some interesting artwork on our walls and structures downtown Toledo. Also a brand new round shiny sculpture that will reflect the surroundings. Can't wait to see it. Have a good week.

I haven't been to Havre de Grace since I was a child. My great grandparents are from there. Lovely art and mutals, especially the the ones that take up an entire wall.

Love the murals. Especially the bee. I have been to Havre de Grace. At the top of the Chesapeake Bay. But it's been a long while. You caught it on a good day!
