I never had fresh artichokes - just once from a glass, and they were terrible. Yes, we need to show we are pro Ukraine. The first refugees already have arrived in the neighborhood.
Hello, It is nice to see the Ukraine flag, standing for peace and unity. I wish I had some snowdrops growing here, hubby refuses to do any more planting. Take care, have a happy weekend.
I see all of these as signs that things are moving forward. It has been a positive sign to me that so many people have stood for Ukraine. The appearance of the first spring flowers...fresh vegetables...all of this reminds me that things get bad and then they get better again...hopeful.
I love the first sign of Spring! And those are some really nice looking artichokes. It's good to see positive signs of renewal, and it's great that so many Americans are giving support to the Ukraine, however they can.
That's one thing about liviing where there are definite seasons - you can look forward to Spring growth. We currently have some azalea, crabapple and dogwood trees blooming but it's too early. We are set to get temps in the 20's tomorrow night, ugh. I hope everything survives.
Love the flag. We are about a 1/2 mile off the main road but I know if I put a flag out near our mailbox, some redneck would destroy it. We are in one of the small blue areas of Florida, surrounded by red voters. Also ugh.

We have some light displays on public buildings, and people are wearing the colors in scarves and ties.

We got some artichokes a few weeks ago that were delish. Enjoy those for sure.
