Social Living

This little owl lives in a tree near the San Pedro House, a historic site near Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The owl’s cottonwood tree is like a condo complex.

The neighbor downstairs is a flicker, here going into its house.

Mr Flicker, looking around the neighborhood.
Birding today was fun — we are enjoying hearing the experiences of our fellow birders as we
all search for birds. Here we are at our table at a Mexican restaurant where we had dinner.

The view from the van in which we are traveling.
Our morning involved a very long ride up a steep,
winding, and bumpy road.

It's great that you are having such a good time, Mae. I can tell from the smile on your face that you are in your element. And that condo complex was amazing.

I am feeling a bit of envy for you. A lot of envy, actually. Please post as much as you can about this trip.
