Yes, they are very traditional latkes, made from potatoes, eggs, chopped onion, and salt, and fried in oil. This batch was just for practice: I'm making them for a big crowd in a couple of days.
they look so simple, and since my kids love fried potatoes and fritters in general, i think i'll make some for them - they are now at an age where they can appreciate a subtle difference in their mom's cooking regime
The pictures probably look the same every year, but it's a great holiday!
