Birding Tour Day 3

On this morning’s walk we saw this lovely spider web.

We skipped a few hours of birding in the afternoon to sit on the beach. Beautiful!

A flight of black skimmers.

I wonder if that's the Montreal Inn there on the beach? I used to like staying there because I had a sea view from my room. Much better to me than the Victorian b and b setup.

Beautiful. A quiet beach, blue sky, the sound of wings flapping, waves, time to notice a small spider ... it all seems wonderfully restorative

The skimmers flight is just amazing to see. we have seen black skimmers in Florida but never witnessed a flight of so many. So special. I am really missing birding this summer and I loved sharing your tour vicariously. Thanks for taking us along! Cape May looks a wonderful place for it this time of year!

i love birds and i don't mind a spider's web now and then :) I have been watching a YouTuber who keeps spiders and i am getting slightly less scared of them. I heard the channel-billed cuckoo for the first time this week - so very early in the summer...
