“Birding the Border”

Today’s tour was called “Birding the Border.” In this photo you can see the famous border fence,
above the green hills where we birded with two guides and 14 other birders. The group saw 100 species of birds.

I especially like seeing ducks and other water birds, which we watched in the channel
of the Tijuana River and other estuaries.

Look at the long bills on those birds!
You all look a little chilly in these pictures. That said, you definitely picked the right time to get out of town...

Hello,
Looks like an interesting place for birding. Love the ducks and are they Dowitchers in the second photo? Have a great day!

Wow! Over a hundred species. That's wonderful.

We are looking forward to participating in Spring Fling in April in Quintana Beach, in the south part of our county along the Gulf. Birders come from all over the place to see migrating birds that drop at Quintana to get food and water after a long flight over the Gulf.

You had a great time, methinks.

The border fence is quite the thing, ominous just in its presence. Glad you saw so many birds!
