| This tea shop called TeaHaus is raising money for Ukraine. |
The beautiful sunflower and teacup window design is adverting the fundraising effort of this shop owner, who has family in Ukraine. A number of hand-made and donated items are on sale as a benefit inside the shop, along with the shop’s usual tea and pastry. In cooperation with the local Zen Buddhist Temple,
they are raising funds and collecting food and supplies for a refugee camp in Western Ukraine.
The refugee camp, which used to be a summer recreational camp, is in the region where I believe my maternal ancestors lived until 1905 when they came to the US. All my relatives who didn’t leave the area in time perished in the Holocaust, so I have no direct connection to anyone in the region now.

I love the Rainbow mural, but you must know how much I really LOVE the sunflowers for Ukraine. so sad to read your relatives died in the Holocaust, something some people still deny every happened.

I don't remember the mural from before. And the tea house sunflower wreath is beautifully done. I hope they do well with their fundraiser.

It's a thought-provoking mural. Ukraine is getting some help. I hope it's enough.
The sunflower wreath painting is so beautiful and such a poignant reminder of the way things ought to be . The TeaHaus owner is putting actions behind his good wishes. May his efforts be blessed. .. I did not realize somehow that there were operating refugee camps within the borders of Ukraine.

The Ukraine wreath is especially timely.
Lots of great colors, bright yellows… and so much sadness offscreen. I cry for the people who are suffrage, and for the tragedy of the holocaust which was only a few short years before my time.
