Mystery Mural

In September, 2006, I photographed this mural on the side of a barn in Webster Township, around 10 miles west of Ann Arbor where I live. Recently, I’ve driven down the road where I seem to remember finding this mural, but either the building isn’t there any more, or I have not correctly remembered the location. There was a llama farm not far from there as well — we walked past it the day we saw this mural. Although I have found more recent references to the llama farm, I haven’t been there recently, either.

Whole buildings have disappeared near me, including some I spent years of my high school life in. I always forget that life is change.

Hi Mae, I haven’t seen many Llama Xing signs. Very cool! The mural is interesting as well. Thanks for sharing.

It's an unusual one bordered by the rainbow, but that is a good thing for the pretty scenery below it.

I didn't know there was a Llama farm around here! The things you learn!

That's a pretty cool photo and I would love to see the llama farm. But it may be gone after so many years.

It's a great mural. Too bad if is gone! I love finding murals. We have exquisite ones in center city Philadelphia.

Nice mural and I love the Llama crossing sign. I never seen one of those before.

Regardless, it's a really different mural. I can understand your feeling. I went looking for a few murals a few weeks ago and they were no longer there. At least I found the buildings, though.

Do they really spit if they feel you go on their nerves? I´ve seen a Llama.

There is a little llama far nearby here and I love passing by! My neighbours have a sign that says Mosquito Crossing, I thought that was funny! :)

It seems unfinished. Maybe, because they find out the building was to be demolished

That's a nice one for a barn.
It would have been really nice to see it once again. :)

Several times I photographed a mural and later it was gone or partly gone. So glad I got them when I did.

It's frustrating to know where a place is but be unable to find it. I've driven many a country road looking for something I remembered being a certain place. I'm glad you have the photos.
