Art and Real Life

Real dandelions with stencil-like shadows.
Dandelion stencils on a bridge support in the
park where we very often walk.
More stenciled dandelions on the bridge.
A tree growing in the rocks at the foot of the bridge support.
Tree stencils.
Reality in our world on Memorial Day. Social distancing? Not. Observing other people's lives can be frustrating!
My estimate: one person in 20 in the park had any type of face covering. Other walkers on the paths were however polite.

Art is everywhere in our daily life and everywhere you look at it.
Hope you had a great Memorial Day, Mae.

Dearest Mae,
Love those stencils done in the Park. So beautiful and very meaningful for enlarging this for the eye of the beholder.
The craziness of this time is weird... WHY take the freedom of people away and yet we're now already five months into the year and when will it ever be normal again?!
Hugs,
Mariette

The stencils are nice. The "social distancing" is not.

Those stencils found under the bridge are wonderful and certainly emulate real life. I watched people on TV ignore the social distancing rules for Memorial Day, so I feel for you. Hope the numbers of COVID deaths don't rise in two weeks as a result of these stupid people.

The dandelion silhouettes are quite lovely ... I stopped as I looked at your post to tell Bill that both bridges I walked under on my river walk today are now “decorated” with graffiti ... and not the kind that is done purposefully. Our City has been good in the past about keeping it under control, but I suppose there are too many kids with too little to do now ... and probably too few City staff patrolling. ..... I saw fewer people with masks than I have yet, but most were on bikes ... all walkers either had masks or walked way around. ... we didn’t go out over the weekend, excep to our daughters backyard.

That bridge art is amazing. I don't think social distancing is ever going to be a thing for the majority of people.

Excellent pictures! I am worried about these people who do not follow the simple rules. Shaking my head.

These turned out great, Mae. I love how you found real life photos to match those murals. That was fabulous.

I am so sad that people acted like that over the long weekend. I fear a HUGE spike in cases in the next two weeks resulting in people doing foolish things and not respecting social distancing.

The dandelion murals are quite pretty and remind me of Summer days.
Thanks for contributing Mae.
