What’s Growing in Your Garden?

It's too early to plant herbs outdoors, so Len planted some seeds inside.
He's using a lamp to encourage them with a bit of warmth.
Walking through the neighborhood, we saw a few vegetable gardens waiting
until the nights are a bit warmer and danger of frost is over.
I suspect this will be a vegetable garden soon.
Many people plant in raised boxes. I hope the current lock down of garden
stores will be over in time for everyone to buy whatever plants they need.
See the squirrel?

The crop here appears to be dinosaurs.

Michigan's stay-at-home orders were extended today, as the virus is still spreading. We hope there will soon be a safe time to return to more activities, but we think the governor is making necessary choices. Meanwhile, we are allowed to take walks, along the streets or in parks. Everyone is very careful to stay far apart, though sometimes the parks are too crowded.

I need to get some herbs to grow. Everyone may be on lockdown, but it seems like the garden stores, around us, anyway, are packed! I am thinking though I would love to have some lemon thyme at least, so maybe I'll go foraging around for it.

I'm glad they opened garden centers but I am too nervous to go to them. I might try to talk Rick into taking me to the hardware store first thing in the morning when no one is there to get some seeds and maybe mulch from outside but I think the garden center will be swamped... even though it's still too cold. I'm glad they extended the order, though. I hope they didn't lighten it up too much. Another few weeks will tell.

I just planted all the old seeds I had to see what would come up!

The other day I planted asparagus and leek. I’d like to buy bags of dirt for my raised beds, but I’m hesitant to go to the store. Big box garden centers are open here.

Stay safe, Mae.

Good luck with your seedlings. I've planted old seeds I had and will be very surprised if anything grows. Love the dinosaur garden and the Teddy. Does the Trump sign reflect your wishes? We move to stage 4 next week which means we can go for walks.

Trying to raise rucola inside. Just wee ones get up, though...

Haha, can I have that sign and with "Merkel" instead of "Trump", please??
Because that woman is a dinosaur...

Aww, the Teddy!

Don't have a garden, but I really should get some herbs in our balcony since I love fresh herbs. That dinosaur display is fun!
