A Ride through the Countryside
Near Manchester, Michigan
One day this week, when the sun was shining a bit, we decided to take a ride west of Ann Arbor, along a number of roads that we often travel. This is farming country, with many barns and silos, and fields that are just beginning to be planted. Grass and field crops are newly green. All these photos were taken through the car windows as we were driving: in some images (like the one above) you cans see reflections from inside the car.

How pretty! I have not been to that part of Michigan. It looks charming.
Pretty scenes from your car ride! I like seeing the barns and farms. The blossoms are lovely. Have a great weekend.
That's some wonderful rural architecture.
Spring has definitely sprung here. I love your photos. Barns, small towns, and old houses!!!
It's wonderful to see the arrival of spring. Thank you for taking us along on your car ride into the country and on a visit to your own garden. It's such a relief to see spring come again after the bleak winter. Maybe we will experience such a rebirth in the good that can be in politics in our own nation.
I love those two big houses soooooooo muchhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Spring is a lot prettier where you were than where I live.
Spring is sprung! I always think of those red barns as being quintessentially American!
Wonderful spring photos Mae.
I love the bluebird picture, and always the flowers. My onion flowers are starting to green up, and I saw a couple fresh leaves on my roses...
I love this post! My favorite things to take photos of are bodies of water, nature, old barns, old houses, cemeteries & old head stones. I don't take photos of infant/children's headstones, they are too sad. My kids are used to me pulling over or turning around or telling them to.
Love all the photos. The countryside contrasted by the blue sky...WOW. I hope you have a lovely Easter.
Love the shots of the farm houses & barns! You all are greening faster than we are here.
Gorgeous blue skies! Happy Spring!
Beautiful series of photos.
