So far this weekend…

Family tradition: we went to Dairy Queen.

Alice and Evelyn came for a slightly long weekend.

A few more activities in a quiet visit.

The artisan market was fun, but the art work wasn’t great.

Alice cooked dinner Saturday night.

Mediterranean meatballs, pesto, zucchini, and other great dishes.

We bought some local rhubarb and Evelyn made a pie.
The little guy is Be-Bop a Re-Bob.

Two Evenings, Two Classic Movies

Breakfast time and new flowers

Tea and coffee to share with Elizabeth's blog party.

New geraniums from the garden center where we shopped yesterday.

Herb garden. We have been cooking with all of these.

Another new pot of flowers in the front garden.

UPDATE: A walk along the river

Sharing this mural on the public restroom…

For Sami’s Monday Murals.

What a lovely weekend Mae. And I like the Thin Man movie. Powell and Loy have nice on screen chemistry. No Dairy Queen near me but every Sunday the hubby and I get an ice cream for lunch. We started it during covid and continue it now. Hugs-Erika

What a glorious weekend. Oh, my! When did they grow up? It reminds me of the song "Sunrise, Sunset." Alas, Sheldon Harnick who wrote that died this week at 99. Maybe it wasn't "alas" for him, but "at last." What a legacy he left.

I love Dairy Queen and indeed, every bit of this post!

Yeah sometimes I have to treat myself to a strawberry shake at DQ. Ice Cream happiness. Some pretty pics here! Like that river walk. Enjoy your time.

Dairy Queen!!! I always have to have the Peanut Buster (B-u-s-t-e-r not peanut butter!) Parfait so I've never tried anything else!

I don't know who Alice is but she made some delicious-looking foods!

The Thin Man!!! One of me and my sister's favorite movie series. We've seen them a billion times yet I never remember who the murder was in any of the movies. The dialogue is SO great and the art deco sets and costumes are to die for.

Love the garden and river!

We don't eat fast food ever. Our DQ burned down before covid and still nothing has been built in its place. It looks like you had a very good time. Lovely, photos for sure.

You did more over the weekend than I do in a month!! It's been years since I went to a Dairy Queen. None close to where I live.

Nice you got to visit the Summer Artisan Market, even if you didn't buy anything.

I was immediately drawn to that pesto and zucchini. Loved how Evelyn decorated the rhubarb pie, too.

I remember when (I think it was Turner Classic Movies) I saw The Thin Man on TV. They even had weekly shows that were shown, not just the one film. I loved their chemistry and fun they always had together. Of course, I loved Asta as much as the couple.

You have a gorgeous and stunning yard, Mae. Love the back yard with the BBQ and the flowers and table filled with coffee mugs and French Press. I'm using my herbs as soon as they get tall enough to harvest, too. Thanks for sharing these beauties with us for T this Tuesday.

What a fun mural you found at that public restroom along the river.

I can't even remember the last time I went to a Dairy Queen, but it was many years ago. Dinner looks delicious. Send those girls to my house, please!

Teague and I had Blizzards last week at the DQ. I had the Strawberry Chocolate. Dinner looks delicious and the table service so pretty. I love Be-Bop on the pie and now I'm humming Be- bop a lou-lou she's my baby. Can't go wrong on the Thin Man series or tea and coffee on the patio. What a lovely oasis you have. Happy T Day

We used to enjoy going to Dairy Queen, mainly when I worked. We did Dairy Queen runs and Sonic runs in the afternoons if we were slow. I worked at a bank. Great family tradition. Great post. Happy T Day.

I have never been to a DQ, but the artisan market sounds like fun. I especially love the rhubarb pie photo, I have so much rhubarb in my garden right now, I should probably make a few pies! Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx
