University of Michigan Museum of Art: outdoor sculpture.

The air quality here in Michigan is slowly improving, but we decided to spend some time at the museum where the air is carefully filtered to protect the works of art! Though small, it’s a good museum. We often go there, so much of the art is familiar but we enjoy seeing it each time.

You have some great sculptures in the Uni gardens. The red sculpture by di Suvero reminds me of one I saw in downtown Chicago. Lovely dimensional murals connect the two museums.
I'm intrigued by those red sculptures lining the walls linking the old museum with the new. And Bleubeard and Elizabeth's description of them as dimensional murals sounds just perfect. Glad you were able to get out of the house for a little while!

A good idea to go to a museum in order to breathe from the smoke. We may need to do that here!
