Our friends once again invited us for a Polish Christmas, starting with delicious fish in aspic. We have enjoyed this meal with our friends a number of times over the years. |
Next: borscht. |
… with a glass of wine and some water. |
The Polish favorite: bigos stew. |
I love poppy seed roll! There was also poppy seed pudding. |

I have some Polish background but I can't say I've ever eaten a lot of Polish food. It looks yummy. And I love the POlish pottery dishes too. hugs-Erika
My grandma's people were from Eastern Europe, and her meals had a heartiness that your dinner reminds me of.
Your Christmas dinner looks delicious and reminds me of the very tasty food I ate in Poland when I visited my dad's childhood home. Have a happy new year, Mae.
So fun to see your Christmas Dinner, Mae. Great looking food and table. The dessert looks super interesting - I may have to look that recipe up.
Looks like it was a wonderful event.
Happy T-day and Happy New Year! Hugz
This looks very yummy. My Mum came from Königsberg, Prussia (now Russia), maybe they had food like that, too (they fled in WWII).
I have no one to ask. So I enjoyed this very much.
I've left a comment but have a happy T day also Mae. hugs-Erika

I apologize that I am late visiting. I can't get my blog POST to load, but I got my blog to load once and now I am afraid to refresh it in case I won't be able to see it at all. Please be aware I am truly honored and sincerely delighted you shared your drink with Bleubeard and me for T this Tuesday. I am so grateful for your friendship and fellowship over a drink. Thank you for joining us for T today. I also love poppy seed bread!
