The sheer number of birds that flock together in the fields is just amazing. They breed much further to the north, and they winter in the open fields of this agricultural area. |
These Bearded Reedlings are hard to see as they hide among the reeds. We were happy to catch them sitting slightly in the open. |

Great sightings! The pheasants are pretty. Neat capture of the Bearded Reedlings! The Snipe has always been a favorite of mine. In the first photo, are they Barnacle Geese? Have a great weekend.
You've seen some great birds, and a lot of them too. What kind of geese are those in the first photo Are they snow geese? Hugs-Erika
I'm so glad the weather was good enough for you to see so many birds.

I'm so glad the fog cleared! Some beautiful birds I'm not familiar with here!
Oh I love the windmill! What a gorgeous scene! And how fun to see so many birds in the fields. I know you had fun.
Amazing photos, I would love to see those sights! It has been 40 years since I visited Holland, time flies.
I was frustrated when we were in France earlier in the year because I fell and broke my good camera.
Look at all those birds! Wow.
Love all the photographs!
Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
