Maybe you can explain something I never got: My Mum came from a .. place where they love fish and all that you find in the water. My Dad hated all that. I sadly take after him. So far, logic. He loved Rollmops.
Ewwwww!!!
Ingo once made me try a bite. Ewwwww.
How come my Dad loved that?!
Your dishes in this post look and are so healthy but... A friend once "forced" me to such a place, I took chicken but the seaweed it was in tasted so fishy...
I think I miss out on a lot. But Rollmops.... I had to ... spit it decently in a serviette. I can eat white fish. And - what you should not - tuna.
The Rollmops and my Dad is a mystery to me...? Maybe you have a clue?
Good sushi is one of life's great food experiences. Before I retired I used to go to a Japanese restaurant in Thornhill, ON with a good friend of mine who spent six months teaching at a university in Japan, and the experience was enhanced by the fact that he could speak passable Japanese and we were treated like stars! Sometimes we barely ordered from the menu, they just brought food to us. Not only was it over-the-top delicious it was exquisitely presented. I am salivating at the memory!

It is so difficult finding fresh sushi here!

Looks like it is all made to order?

I loooove sushi, and tempura and miso soup and karaage etc :=) I am a big fan of anything Japanese really. Happy new year!
Hello,
I am not a fan of sushi, I did try some recently. The sauce helped.
Take care, have a great day!

I love sushi. But this Maru doesn't look like ours. I think I need a good sushi visit again!
