Birding in the South Of Holland

Starting the day at Stellendam Haven, along the North Sea coast. The morning was very rainy and foggy.

In a farm field en route we saw this Roe Deer.

Of course there are always windmills.

This Kingfisher was very far away, but we were excited to see it.

Bicycles!

This dog was very friendly, and I liked his master’s wooden shoes.

Most of the birds we saw were water birds in the many waterways in this below-sea-level area.

The windmills make me long for Holland, and family time.

The windmills are beautiful. Love the cute dog and the deer, great sighting of the Kingfisher. Is the last bird a Snipe? Take care, enjoy your day!

I love the cyclists. I didn't know people really wore the wooden shoes anymore except in living heritage sites!
