We're Not in Paris Any More

No more Eiffel Tower! Our flight arrived early and we're home.
But there will be more posts about Paris.
This painting from the Centre Pompidou is by Robert Delaunay.

It's a pity I only realize now that you've been in Paris. I could have done a little bit of your guide in some unusual places in Paris:-) and pointed out some new restaurants. I hope your stay went well despite the turmoil in the country. "The yellow vests" do not only protest against fuel taxes, there are many other demands. And it is a movement that is not really politically structured

This is a terrific painting -- I love the flowers!

Welcome home. We brought out the snow, just for you!

From my brother on FB, a comment on the Delaunay painting: "This painting reminded me of some of Lancaster's own Charles Demuth's paintings, so I Googled Robert Delaunay Charles Demuth and found an article in Time from the early 2000's saying that Demuth was inspired by Delaunay, and a variety of indications that their work is sometimes displayed together, or at least in the same places."

Wow, this is beautiful. Always sad when a holiday comes to an end.
