New in My Kitchen in March
 |
New Mug Rack that Len made for some of our many mugs. Len has been doing a lot of woodworking. |
We have been using the new tray for many meals… such as this patè, cheese, bread, and chips.
Good Meals in March
We cooked at home for most of our March dinners. Here are photos — some new, some you’ve seen earlier this month.
At Home
 |
| … and another roast chicken! |
 |
| For Saint Patrick’s Day, of course. |
 |
| We frequently have tuna salad in one form or another. |
|
Alice made us some classic chocolate chip cookies.
|
 |
Len made Pad Thai — super good!
|
 |
| Another meal that Len made. |
Bacon on Special
 |
I needed a few strips of bacon for classic Boeuf Bourgignon, so I went quickly into a Kroger store. They had a special: buy one package get one free. So we have had about a year’s worth of bacon this month! |
A Take-Out Meal: Food from the Himalayas
At Slurping Turtle
 |
| Miso Soup |
 |
| Seafood plate. |
 |
| Sashimi with raw tuna and vegetables. |
Final March Reading (not in my kitchen)
 |
I’m not sure I’ll keep reading this in April. The first 200 pages have been disappointing. I expected more from Diana Wynne Jones. |

Everything looks delicious! "Everest Sherpa" and "Slurping Turtle" are great names for restaurants!
Oh my golly gosh! You do eat well don't you. Your meals are making me hungry. In all honesty, I have a home made lasagna to look forward to.When I cook one, it is of course too much for one person, so I cut it into segments and freeze them. I have taken one segment out of the freezer for my dinner today. With some extra Parmesan and a glass of red wine (I usually drink white, but lasagna calls for red)
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
All of your meals look so delicious.
Our dishwasher is a lot like yours. I love the inside not being plastic. It's about 5 years old and still looks brand new.
Have a great April.
Hello Mae,
Your meals all look delicious! It is great Len is just a good woodworker! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
The woodwork looks both professional and functional. Well done, Len.
Is your dishwasher a Bosch? It looks similar inside to mine. And so much good food. Len is really a talented woodworker. Looks like it was a good month, except for this book you mentioned.
Everything looks so delicious Mae! I want some of that roast chicken and the choc chip biscuits. What a clever Len you have; his woodwork is fabulous. Thanks for joining in and have a great April. See you in May, Mae - hehehe ...
Mae, looks like you did some seriously good eating in March. Everything looks delicious . I am a raisin bread lover, so Len's raisin bread looks especially good to me. I hope you enjoy your new dishwasher and beautiful mug rack. Have a Happy Passover.
love those homemade wooden plates! they make any food look good... here our food is served on plastic plates with plastic covers, not environmentally friendly at all and always makes me feel a bit homeless. have a great month! dreams of sourdough at https://ayearindarwin.blogspot.com/
More excellent meals at your house! Isn't a new dishwasher fun (well, as fun as any appliance!). The mug rack looks terrific too. A nice way to display a good collection. Happy Passover.
It is always inspiring to come and view your offering! Nice variety (I have some needed growth there!) and always served up well. That tray is stunning, I am glad you are putting it to good use!
Thank you for commenting. I haven’t been able to leave a comment on your blog.
I usually give books 100 pages, unless they are truly awful! Enjoy the new dishwasher, and hope you are having a family filled Pesach :)
