A Few Meals Before the Big Trip

“My kitchen” this July means not only the kitchen where I live in Ann Arbor, but also the kitchen of the National Geographic/Lindblad Orion where we spent 10 days while visiting Greek islands in the Mediterranean and three ancient sites in Turkey.

Oh wow, those magnets are so cool! I really need to get some for on my whiteboard. And the toadstool picture reminds me of the fact that I took a picture of toadstools here recently too.
I need a new basting brush. Mine is not in good shape. I like yours. And nice magnets. I love that you have lots of owls. And can I come and eat at your house? Grin. Is that mushroom ceramic or real? It's very cool. hugs-Erika

Seems like all i have done is cook this month, but i haven't taken many photos, it seems.
Magnets are a great souvenir! A reminder of your trip every time you open the fridge.

I love your olive wood server. Those are stunning. And your magnets make me smile. You need to make a wall in your house magnetized so you can put all of them up! The food looks great and fun seeing the ship kitchen too.
I love olive wood and i have several utensils. Love your magnets; and i have heaps of those on my fridge. I try to change them now and again. How marvellous to go to turkiye and greece! We did go to greece many years ago as backpackers - quite the adventure. Imagine planning meals and supplies for thousands of passengers on a cruise! wow. @Sherry -- The National Geographic Orion can accommodate around 100 passengers max, but our trip only had around 80 passengers. We did see some of those gigantic ships but would never choose to travel on one of them.
Those olive wood servers are lovely! We took a cruise with similar itinerary 12 years ago (feels like yesterday) and it was really memorable. I might hesitate to visit Turkey right now. Magnets are always a fun souvenir and a light weight one. As we are getting older, we want to carry less and less and truthfully I starting to get rid of instead of collecting. Although something for the kitchen is always tempting. I love the bowl that you served the fruit salad in. Have a great week.
