From the breakfast table this morning: a view of the island of Naxos, where we visited soon afterwards. |
 |
Naxos is is a lovely island. It seems much less overdeveloped than Santorini and is thus more pleasant. |
 |
In a farmer’s field not that long ago, the owner discovered this statue. The area was once a marble quarry. The statue is unfinished (probably because the leg was broken) and it was evidently abandoned in the 6th century. |
 |
We visited an olive oil producer, where we tasted olives, oil, and other products. |
 |
Most of the area where we visited was agricultural. |

What a view from your breakfast table. The light is amazing. I love how in these ancient habitated lands people just find statues and walls. Thanks for sharing Mae.Enjoy the next stop. hugs-Erika
What a journey you are having!
You had a beautiful view during your breakfast.
Hubby and I enjoy the less touristy places.
Are you bringing home some olive oil.
Take care, have a great day!
That olive tasting would be a dream come true for me! Looks fantastic!
