At Kensington Park we saw quite a few Red-Winged Blackbirds today. Easiest to photograph: those that were eating seeds provided by people who feed the birds.
From the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology: a map of Red-Winged Blackbird habitation, We are on the edge of the territory where they breed but do not spend the winter. In other years, I’ve seen my first blackbird of the year in March, so it’s time!
Yes, I do have these in my yard. There are so many birds in OR. that there are several sanctuaries and birders come from all of ther world. Have a nice evening.

The red wing blackbird is a sure sign of spring. How exciting. hugs-Erika
Hello,
I have seen these birds in my area year round now.
Great photos. Take care, have a great day and happy week ahead.
Might I say it again -- too early!
Oh, I am SO ready for some spring :) Are hummingbirds next? <3
I like redwings -- we've seen them all over the country. I was also thrilled to find yellow-wing blackbirds somewhere in Colorado.
