Murals in Ice

Beside a narrow walkway along the river: a painted wall, with ice cascading down the surface.
The wall supports a railroad trestle over the river.
Murals and graffiti on the wall appear to have been done by more than one painter.
This stenciled artwork appears in a number of places in Ann Arbor. I believe these
various simple murals were commissioned in hopes that they would deter unwanted graffiti.
On a highway bridge support a few miles down the river: more of the same stencil art.

Murals to prevent graffiti is always a good idea, sadly I've seen too often that it does not help. Some simply have no respect of good work. Brrrr the snow!

Amazing to see the images appearing through the ice. I do love the murals and I hope they do deter graffiti - it's becoming such a problem. It's so hot here at the moment so amazing to see images of ice and snow xx

Those murals must be so cold. :)

The trees on the bridge's pillars are so pretty. Let's hope it stays pretty.

What a super discovery Mae, amazing to see the mural 'under ice' that's never going to happen for me here in Perth 😉
