"The trouble with children's menus is that these are the most common things that are always on them: macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, PB & J, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and that's all. The sides are always mashed potatoes, carrots, salad, fries, apple sauce, chips, and that's all. But the thing that I don't like about kids' menus is that they're always the same and there's nothing very tropical about kids' menus.
"I always have been ordering chicken nuggets or other things, and they are getting very boring. For instance, I am getting really bored of chicken nuggets, so I usually want to order something like shrimp. If only there was something tropical (exotic) on a kids' menu like shrimp and grits that I had tonight or mussels that I had in the past."

I love this post to pieces! Bravo, Miriam! I couldn't agree with you more!
I found your blog today and have been giving it a bit of a read, I don't know if you normally accept guessed blog posts or if this was a one off, but if you do I was wondering if you might consider posting something I've written. It's about food cooked for me by boy and girl scouts in Thailand a couple of years ago.
I guess first I should tell you a bit about my self, I'm from the UK and I'm currently studying for an MA in Leeds, I've been traveling when ever I can since I was 18 but I've never really written about it before. Reacently however I've started a part time job working with a travel company and they've asked me to start a blog on there website about some of my travel memmories. It's actually been really fun going through my old diaries and remembering and writing about old stories, the only problem is there holidays are all luxuary holiday destinations, which isn't really the kind of travel I've done. The peice I want to send you for example is about some time I spent teaching in a school in Thailand during which they asked me to lead a scout camp. So this doesn't really fit on there blog but I was wondering if it might find a place on a food and travel blog like yours with a link back to the blog I'm creating for the travel agents.
Even if you can't use it I always appreciate any feedback, like I said I'm quite new to blogging.
So if you'd be intereested in taking a look, let me know and I'll put it in an email for you.
