Pear Salad


First-course salad: lettuce, nice autumn pears, toasted walnuts, dried cranberries, vinaigrette dressing with cherry-flavored balsamic and olive oil. Served with a wedge of Saint Andre cheese. A classic.

Marcellina -- to answer your question, Saint Andre is a very flavorful but mild soft French cheese.

This does sound good, and I think that Brie would work here, which is on hand at the moment.
