The Potters’ Guild Sale
![]() |
Saturday morning: the June sale of the Ann Arbor Potters’ Guild. |
![]() |
Our favorite artist: Maki Lin. |
![]() |
We bought two new plates (similar to ones we have already). |
Along the Huron River
![]() |
We don’t understand this “sculpture” — here’s another one in a different park. Anyone know its real purpose? |
![]() |
Along the path is a plaza celebrating the history of local women in sports for the past 50 years. |

We always enjoy watching the canoes and kayaks making their way down the Huron River. |
Beautiful Weather But with Some Smoke

In spite of poor air quality, we have been eating in our garden. |
Contemplation: “A Child’s Garden of Verses”
The Swing
HOW do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside—
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown—
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!”

Hello,
The Potter guild looks nice, lots of beautiful items.
I like your plates. The sculpture is a nice frame for photos.
Looks like a great day for kayaking.
Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week!
Beautiful but dangerous! Clumsy me has some pottery, too... ohhhh....
I would be thrilled to have one of those tree mugs by Maki Lin! They are stunning. I like your plates too. I don't even know if there is a potters guild in our state, let alone our county.
The river looks so relaxing, the epitome of summer, as is the swing.
Lovely post, Mae.
Love the pots and bowls! What a fun thing to do.
I am surprised there is no plaque for the statue....
What a great selection. I really love your new plates. I wonder when our Potters Guild sale is. Not that I need one more thing. Isn't it nice to have had decent weather for a bit?
All the ceramics looks lovely.
That sale looks fabulous. I just love pottery so you had me drooling with those photos. Looks like it was a super weekend.
Sorry we're sending our smoke down to you. We dearly wish we didn't have these awful wildfires that start earlier and burn hotter and longer each year.
That Potter's Guild sale was perfect for you. Your new plates are beautiful.
Loved the "sculpture" of the women in sports.
Hard to believe, but we are getting smoke in southern central Kansas, too. We get daily updates from one of the local channels.
I would love to buy some pottery. Your plates are beautiful.
Lovely photos!
