Today in the New York Times: “Why Is Egg Shopping So Unpredictable?” —
“Stores across the country have instituted egg purchase limits, but they’re more common at grocers known for low prices. On Saturday, the Aldi in Inglewood had a two-dozen limit. Trader Joe’s has imposed a one-dozen limit nationally. Costco is limiting customers to three 24-count packages of eggs at some locations across the country. Purchase limits help temper panic-buying, or spikes in demand caused by lower prices.”
Today in the Guardian —
“Trump campaigned relentlessly on the cost of living and made a big (and unrealistic) promise to bring down food prices on day one of his term. Now, it’s clear he has no realistic plan to lower the cost of groceries; eventually, even his most devoted followers are going to figure out that you can’t eat the culture wars. To riff on Macbeth again: all the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten the astronomical price of eggs.”

No, no plan to help anyone who didn't send mega-millions to his campaign. Sad.
What is the reason, still bird-flu?
Orange eats at Maccas and such, he has no clue about real food and it´s prices...
I am sorry you all have to learn the hard way, but I hope people stand up against him soon...
Somewhere around 70 million people believed Trump. Some still do. But you have to give the poor billionaire a break. Who can focus on eggs when there are casinos to be built in Gaza?
I keep hearing about eight and twelve dollar eggs. I've yet to see those anywhere. I'm wondering if the price they always quote is organic extra large.
Campaign promises are a joke. He has no control over the avian flu or prices, the price of goods is coming from all the greedy corporations. Take care, have a great day!
Jeanie I live in Oregon, 18 pack of regular ol eggs are $13.00 a 12 pack is $8.00 If I go into Eugene the eggs are higher in price.
The people who believe in the "thing" and his sidekick are so brainwashed. I have mentioned before that my entire family with the exception of me and 2 nephews voted for and believe every word the "thing" says. It amazes me how intelligent people are so willing to believe the lies.
Of course Trump campaigned on bringing down food prices. He's been caught in so many lies or backtracking, and this is just another one of them.
People still believe the crazy things he says. I’m shaking my head.
