Sourdough

“The starter greeted me like a puppy, yapping and leaping, excited to be alive.”
A quote from Robin Sloan’s Sourdough.
Len’s starter is better behaved than the starter in the novel, which is very naughty.

Len’s bread made a few years ago — he makes it often, and will bake it this afternoon.

I’m rereading Robin Sloan’s novel just for fun.
While Len bakes for our coming guests.

It looks just beautiful! I haven't been to Zingemann's in eons. (But I just got their catalog yesterday!)

I had a sour dough started for many many years. Can't remember what happened to it. Len's breads always look so good. Wow! Zingerman's Bakehouse looks amazing. I so wish we had something like that here. Our bakeries are in the two grocery stores and they are horrible. LOL

Can Len come to Melbourne next Friday please. Just tell me what he needs to create his masterpieces :)

My sourdough has been very behaved too. That book sounds like fun.

I'm a terrible baker. Wouldn't know what to do with starter if someone gave me some.

Len's loaves looks as good as the commercial ones.

My daughter has just started to make sourdough; I am hoping she makes some when she comes home this summer.
