One Sandhill Crane was wading in the pond.
Michigan is now home to around 25,000 cranes, with many more present during migration.
Cranes were almost extinct 60 years ago, with a dramatic turnaround in the 1970s. |

That is a wonderful meal that Alice prepared. The botanical gardens is just so nice. I do enjoy seeing the cranes. Ours are more inland but can be seen something is the estuaries. Nice that there was a plant sale. Sneezeweed, I had to look it up. LOL Have a nice day today.
