Charlottesville, VIrginia

University of Virginia, Charlottesville: the founder Thomas Jefferson’s statue. 
Miriam, a second-year student there, gave us a great tour this afternoon.

Miriam showed us the beautiful small walled gardens.

The history of the enslaved people is memorialized by a series of quotes with information that is
known about them, including their names.

    I’ve been to the UVA campus but it was some years ago. Thanks for sharing the memorial to enslaved laborers. I have not seen it.

    I really enjoyed seeing the University of VA. What a treat to have a personal tour of the grounds. That memorial is amazing.

    I never cease to be amazed at what "canvases" muralists will use. These are stunning.
