Saturday Lunch

Recently redecorated alleyway downtown next to Frita Batidos, a Cuban diner
where we were going for lunch with friends.

Lunch: a chicken sandwich with fritas (fries), churros (a pastry like a donut), and batidos (a kind of smoothie).

The walls are decorated with interesting abstract murals.

After eating our frita (sandwich) we went next door to Sweetwater’s for coffee.
The mural here is realistic. (Images © mae sander 2026)

I like the colourful mural. Love churros, but try not to eat them too often, lol. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Mae.

Both are so fabulous! The Hawaiian-inspired mural looks like Diamond Head and Waikiki before tourism. Too bad it's in an alley with ugly dumpsters. And I love the wildlife mural -- so fun!

The last mural is a beauty. I love Cuban food, had it a few times in Miami.

The murals are all amazing. The food didn't seem to be to expensive. There are so many nice places there.
