Welcome Dinner at the Firehouse Museum
Jason and Katrina’s wedding celebration is our big activity for the entire weekend! Jason is Len’s nephew — his family have lived in this area of Michigan all his life, so we’re all very close. After ten years of being together, including having a house and Lilikoi the dog, Katrina and Jason decided to make their relationship official. Friday night was a pre-wedding “Welcome” dinner.

Lots of guests brought their kids, who loved the old fire engines. (I loved them too).

All the elements of this lovely wedding---the locations, the officiant, the streudel---are wonderful. It sounds like just the sort of wedding I would enjoy attending.

ReplyDeleteThat looks like such a lovely event. Did they step on the glass and break it? I think that is such a wonderful thing to do, along with a wonderful story to go with it. And nice museum too. I bet you had fun. hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteHi Mae,
Here is the comment that woudn't publish:
The happy couple picked two very impressive venues. The Michigan
Firehouse Museum looks like a great place to hold the pre-wedding
dinner. Kids young and old love fire engines. A great place for the
children to let off steam.
Another great venue was the church turned into a Brew Pub Restaurant.
You certainly gave us lots of drinks and a beautiful wedding. They
certainly look happy and, after seeing all that food, I am starving.
Thanks for sharing these two venues with us for T this week, dear Mae.
Hugs,
E ( https://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/ )
What a beautiful, hopeful event! Thank you for inviting us. Now a brew pub church is something I could get behind! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteGreat venues! Excellent photo story.
ReplyDeleteTo the happy couple! Took us 19 years to get married, too :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful wedding! What a lovely touch that the mother of the bride baked homemade strudel for each guest. Her presentation was beautiful too. Congrats to the family.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and my best wishes for the future to Jason and Katrina! They look a lovely couple. The venues are really special. Each with a touch of different.
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day,
Lisca
