After a while, we headed for the San Diego Museum of Art and the several other museums in Balboa Park. |

Ceramics with dragon images are always a favorite of ours. We spent most of our visit in the Asian collections of the museum. |

We had lunch in the Artifact restaurant of the Mingei International Museum. The menu is international: this is gnocci with several garnishes and it was delicious. |

Lunch in that setting looks great. Sometimes I like watching movies with famous places that I've been to overseas. it brings back a lot of nostalgia for those places.
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame you had rain, but glad you found somewhere really interesting to go, I love checking out local museums and discovering the history of an area xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty museum. We have been to San Diego and biked the harbor area about 6 years ago, which was fun. But now think we should've also seen the museum.

ReplyDeleteSorry about the rain, but it looks like you made resourceful use of your time. I loved the undulating form of the Apsara... and those gnocchi looked delicious! Here's hoping the weather improves and you are able to do more bird watching soon.
