New murals reflecting artists' concerns over the coronavirus pandemic are appearing throughout the world. I find the creativity of these artists just amazing -- the vision of the photographers is also impressive. A number of collections of these mural photos, or stories about particular murals, have featured in many news articles.

Here are links to a few more news articles about murals in a number of places:
  • "New coronavirus-inspired art, murals dot Houston's landscape" (link)
  • "Mural dedicated to frontline health care workers pops up on Colfax" in Denver (link)
  • "Coronavirus inspired honey bear murals pop up on San Francisco's boarded storefronts" (link)

At the blog COLOURFUL WORLD, written by Sami in Perth, Australia, bloggers share murals that they have seen at home or on their travels on almost every continent. Right now, though, most of us aren't going anywhere -- I am definitely staying in, myself! Even if one of the local artists here in Ann Arbor produced a timely coronavirus mural, I probably wouldn't get to see it. Therefore, I've tried to use the Internet to find timely murals this week and share with my fellow mural aficionados. I hope they do the same.

That’s a great collection Mae. And you are right, while they’re each wonderful in their own way, that last photo is absolute perfection. These artists can really capture life as it happens! I’m impressed.

The one in Venice Beach is my favourite of those you've shared.

"Mein Schatz"!!!! Oh, help!
Glad it shows a man ;-)
Hmmm, the mural I found last year shows the opposite, that I hope comes true, soon, but these are really impressive. And sad.
