Reunion at the Detroit Institute of Arts

We are spending the weekend with 8 friends that we've known since just after we all graduated from college. We met in Grenoble, France, where some of us were Fulbright Fellows (I was only half-bright, going along with Len). Also here: a few spouses who weren't in Grenoble, but have been part of the group throughout previous reunions. Last night we started our long weekend with dinner at our house. Today we drove to the Detroit Institute of Arts where we viewed the famous Diego Rivera frescos and many other works of art. Tonight and tomorrow we have a few other plans, which might be in another blog post, or might not!

  5. I think it is SO wonderful you still get together! What a bond you have built in the years following your fellowship. I guess "fellowship" is a perfect word for what you all created.

  7. @Kwarkito -- the Fulbrights in our group arrived in Grenoble in 1963. I joined them in February of 1964.
