Eaton Canyon Natural Area Park

This morning we took a walk in a nature area called Eaton Canyon Natural Area Park, located in a canyon at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, not far from Pasadena where we are staying. Although it was overcast, we had a pleasant walk, especially looking for birds and looking at the many flowers along the canyon. The aromas of the hillside plants and herbs were especially enjoyable.

The next bird photos are by Len.

This nest-building California towhee is my favorite.

  2. Beautiful photos, all. I think sometimes overcast days are a much better photography day -- less glare. You can see every detail!

  4. Love the photos but I really like the bird photos. Great shot getting a towhee with nesting materials.
