Dinner in Pasadena

Time change Detroit to Los Angeles: 3 hours. Flying time: around 5 hours. We left our house at around 7 AM.
We checked into our hotel by 2 PM Pacific time, and walked to the nearby Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena.
After a great visit there we stopped for a quick dinner at Shandong Dumplings, which attracted us
because it's near the hotel, it looked quick, and there were 2 ladies in the window making the dumplings!

The dumplings were delicious. Perfect for the end of a very long day.
A bowl of hot & sour soup was included with the
dumpling order.
This is the start of a 3-day visit to Pasadena and the L.A. area. Eventually I'll write up our delightful visit to the Norton Simon Museum, to which we may in fact return later this week.

  1. This reminds me that I haven't made any dumplings in a really long while. They look so good!

  2. I adore dumplings! There used to be a resto here that made the best ones but gone now. I need to find new (meanwhile, it's TJ's gyoza!)
