I had never tried these before, though I've seen them at markets. Other recipes say to stir fry them... maybe next year when they are in season I'll try one of those recipes. They do taste a little like asparagus and a lot like garlic, but mild.

ReplyDeleteMy CSA farm grows garlic scapes and I've been getting them for a while. I usually cut them up and use them in stir fry for a mild garlic flavor. They might taste best on the grill like you made them.
Looks yummy. I love garlic scapes but they are not easy to find here. ;-)

ReplyDeleteThese look really pretty on your bbq - I tried them for the first time last year and was surprised at how garlicky they were - a bit milder than the usual cloves but quite distinctive still
