I had for breakfast more paprika, and a sort of porridge of maize flour which they said was "mamaliga", and egg-plant stuffed with forcemeat, a very excellent dish, which they call "impletata".followed by recipes for Mamaliga and Rumanian Stuffed Eggplant. Louise, I love it!

What did Dracula eat?
Today's entry at the blog "Months of Edible Celebrations" has a fantastic post on food in Bram Stoker's Dracula -- with recipes! Louise, the blogger, quotes several passages from the diary of the narrator, who is of course describing his first impressions of Transylvania, for example:
