On our deck: Len has potted the herbs that we bought from the Botanical Garden sale.
At the sale: the plants were displayed in the greenhouse.
Good Eating
Lamb chops and buttered potatoes with herbs.
A somewhat exotic sandwich spread called Amba. It’s an Israeli specialty that originated with Iraqui Jews in Israel. It’s a key ingredient in an Israeli street-food sandwich called the Sabich. We had sandwiches with Amba and vegetables; the classic Israeli Sabich includes eggplant and hard-boiled eggs.
Growing your own herbs is always very successful because you only use a couple of fresh leaves with each main course. Once you eat your tomatoes, unfortunately, they are all gone :(
Hello, I would like to grow some herbs, mainly basil and sage. A tomato plant would be nice too. The Mango spread look tasty. Take care, enjoy your day and the new week ahead.
Love growing herbs, but I have never tried it in pots. My mother did though, when she could no longer garden. I would enjoy visiting a botanical garden. I need to see if there is one near me. The food looks pretty tasty!
Those herbs look great. Your dinner this weekend looks similar to what we had tonight, only we had pork pieces instead of lamb, but we did have some yummy herb potatoes, just like yours.

I went shopping for plants! I planted a few. More to do...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great sale. The plants all looks so healthy. Hmmm you know I have never made lamb chops. I guess because the stores don't sell them here.
ReplyDeleteI just got back from Florida and can't wait to look for herbs to buy for my deck too.

I love growing herbs and these look super healthy. I think I'll be headed to the nursery this week to get some!

ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to a plant sale. The master gardeners have one every year here, but I've never tried it.
