  1. This year it all seems especially poignant and important to remember. Too many seem to have forgotten.

  2. We shouldn’t have to say, “Never Forget” and “Never Again”, but not only do we have to remind people, we also have to fight against revisionist history and Holocaust denial. There are those who would repeat it.

  3. Now, with who is running the country we have to say it everyday.

  4. I saw some of the ceremony on TV today. It's scary though because I also saw some of the hunt for illegal immigrants on the news today. The similarities remind me of how far the world is slipping backwards.

  5. Despite I read many a book on this subject, saw many a movie, this will always be too surreal to comprehend for me. How can people treat other people like this. And this is not the only place. Just look at the Taliban etc. Why can´t people respect one another.

  6. It is a time in history that should never be forgotten.
I am scared, it could happen now.
Take care, enjoy your day! Have a wonderful week ahead!

  7. I thought of you yesterday and again last night when I watched a PBS special on Holocaust Resistance Fighters. Many were very brave. Most were killed, but some survived and were able to tell their stories. To think there are Holocaust deniers even today. And the times in which we are living seem a bit surreal, especially if Project 2025 is enacted.

  8. It is sad that reminders like "never forget" are necessary and that there are still (or again?) people who deny the Holocaust. Denying the Holocaust is actually a crime in Germany and can be punished with up to five years in prison. When I look at today's world I'm afraid we're slipping right back to scary times like this.
