The National Zoo was preparing for this Halloween event when we were there recently. Along the walkways we saw many amusing Halloween displays, as shown in these photos. Promoted for kids age 4 to 12, the sold-out event included trick or treats for the animals and kids, and special evening access to some of the buildings. Must have been fun! |
These are great photos. St. Louis Zoo also has a boo at the zoo every year and we love to go.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun event and a great way to increase traffic and awareness at the zoo!
ReplyDeleteSo much of scary fun! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHello Mae :=)
ReplyDeleteThe National Zoo Halloween event must have been such a fun outing for all the family. The entries are both comical and also spooky. The photos are great.
All the best

Hello, Mae
ReplyDeleteBoo at the Zoo is a fun time to visit. I love all the Halloween decorations.
The Mural is beautiful, cute giant sized pumpkin. Thank you for linking up and sharing your critter post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment!
Looks like that was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteThese Halloween decorations are delightful!
ReplyDeleteThese are really fun to see. I'm glad I noticed this post when I finished reading about Halloween.
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous decorations! I know the kids must love it...I would too! Thanks for sharing. I don't get out to places like this much any more!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun experience at our National Zoo. Must have been fun reading all the signs that went with some of them. That is a wonderful mural. Too bad it was overtaken by so many people, so it was a bit hard to see it in all its glory. I'm definitely going to miss the pandas!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic Halloween event The kids will love it I especially love the sense of humour like 'died laughing' and 'bones and treat' lol and 'still waiting'
ReplyDeleteOh, why for kids only??? I am a kid still, bet many of us are!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I should dress up our Duke Henry as Pirate!
And I do hope I´ll die laughing, too.
My cat waves hello. (It´s a fake, of course, too).
FUN at the zoo! Next year: Perth Zoo again. And later maybe Hannover. Last time we visited was 2002... It´s about time!
I'm not very fond of Halloween. Though it is gradually spreading through the Netherlands. But that mural is beautiful
ReplyDeleteThat must have been a great Halloween party at the zoo.
ReplyDeleteI'm not very fond of all the scary disguises, but Halloween is also becoming popular in Australia in the last couple of years.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Mae.
Very Hallowe'eny
ReplyDeleteIt would be such fun to visit here at Halloween --- especially with kids, but even if not, that would be great!
ReplyDeleteCute stuff! The Panda painter is adorable. (either the "artist or his work).
ReplyDeleteThat panda painting is pretty clever, and I love the giant pumpkin. Looks like you all had a good time.
