This interesting mural appears in an unexpected location in Ann Arbor: on the site of a destructive fire that gutted two businesses last January. I am sharing this mural with Sami's Monday Murals. |
|
The building that was next to the mural is now rubble, left after the fire and demolition of the destroyed structure. The fire started in a restaurant kitchen at the back of the building. Fortunately, no one was inside. |

Yard signs throughout the neighborhood show participation in the game. |

Glad to hear no one was hurt in the fire and that it didn't damage that beautiful mural. The library game seems fun! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful classic summer in your part of the world! Enjoy it my dear. Aloha
ReplyDeleteThat mural is absolutely lovely. You did a great job getting a good photo of it, too. I LOVE the names the children chose for their summer reading game. Anything to keep them engaged and reading stories.
ReplyDeleteScary you kinda could see the fire before it happened.
ReplyDeleteGreat summer game.
That's a beautiful mural. And how special that you could only see it now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mural. I am scared of fires, I am glad no one was hurt.
ReplyDeleteThe library game sounds fun! Take care, have a great week!
Glad no one was hurt in that fire. I have a fear of basements as it would be difficult to get out quickly in case of fire!
ReplyDeleteThe library game sounds like fun and the library truck is very lively too.
A lovely country looking mural, thanks for participating in Monday Murals Mae.
sad about the fire -- I guess the mural is a valiant attempt to make the remains easier to see. The names on the participation signs for your Library's summer game I am afraid will require me to go down an intgernet rabbit hole looking for the rules of a game I will never play (and no doubt wouldn't even if I lived in the library area!). But I applaud anything that brings more kids into the library to actually read a book!
