After years of hearing how good it was, we finally ate lunch at Ricewood barbecue. We tried the Szechuan chicken rice bowl and found it very tasty. We would like to go there again. |
The courtyard seating area is decorated with colorful murals and furnishings. It was a warm day, so most people were eating indoors. |
A short distance down the road is a preschool with nicely painted windows. |

You have given us a plethora of lovely murals today, Mae. I love the preschool windows and how colorful the table and chairs were at Ricewood barbecue. I also enjoyed seeing the Lucky kitties. Now I want to eat there, too. But I was really mesmerized by that glass sculpture which caught my eye. That was amazing.
ReplyDeleteOooo I love everything about that Rice Woods place!!!! Everything on the menu sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to live in a wonderful neighborhood! Aloha!
ReplyDeleteThose rice bowls sound very yummy. The sandwiches sound yummy too.I had Asian style shrimp tacos yesterday, and they were really good. That's an interesting bottle statue too. Happy new week . hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteYum! Those rice bowls sound terrific -- and it looks like a great place to take a wander around after eating, as well! I love the graphic murals, maybe especially the B&W ones.... but also the preschool flowers, too.
ReplyDeleteA warm day and people eat indoors???
ReplyDeleteA warm day in Germany and you´d have trouble getting a seat outdoors!
Especially in such a lovely painted and decorated space!
Hmmm, and now I am hungry, too.
How cheerful!

ReplyDeleteI really like the kindergarten flowers. Although not especially for preschoolers. And the black and white mural is cool
ReplyDeleteLove the floral windows and the rainbow eyes (?).
ReplyDeleteThat glass bottle sculpture is amazing!

ReplyDeleteThe bottle sculpture is amazing.
Take care, have a wonderful week!
I really like those painted windows!
ReplyDeleteI like all the artwork. I was surprised when you said it was warm so people were eating indoors:) Too much sun do you mean?
ReplyDeleteNote of explanation: I said that people chose to sit inside because it was “warm.” I didn’t want to say it was “hot” because the rest of this country is having an unbelievable heat wave, and here, although it might feel better to sit inside and away from the noonday sun, it’s only in the 80s. So I would feel like a sissy if i used the word “hot.”
