Not at all. So so talented and she overcame so much -- what a story she had. I read somewhere that the long illness she died from was kidney disease caused by untreated high blood pressure; that she herself had said that she hadn't wanted to take prescription medicine until she realized it was too late... You never know for sure whether what you read is true (especially nowadays) but still I said a silent thank you for the two BP pills I swallowed this morning.
I think she is an icon to many women and a great rock legend, too. I remember how she broke the mold in the 1980s when MTV was a true music video station back then with lots of teens tuning in daily. We teens and young people loved her and her famous wigs and iconic voice. Many women have looked up to her. She will be missed.
Who was/is not? I had no idea she was suffering so long in the end. Didn´t she already in her first marriage? Sometimes life is not fair. Also I never knew she lived in Switzerland.

I am not surprised! She was an amazing woman. After 16 years of abuse, she broke free of the stigma and brokered a career in her 40s!
