The rest stops on the Ohio and Pennsylvania turnpikes are the same as every. We drove from Ann Arbor to Fairfax, VA today. |
Two years ago, everyone was masked. Now very few are masked. |
Same gourmet foods. |
Then, most of the food places were closed — now all are open. |
Hello,
ReplyDeleteFunny, the shot of the gourmet candy, oops gourmet food. I am thankful for those rest stops. Wishing you safe travels and a fun trip!
It's amazing looking back at when we were all shut down fearing Covid. Now few people even think about it anymore. Have fun on your trip and stay safe, please.
ReplyDeleteHave fun on your trip!
ReplyDeleteLove going to Starbucks - or any coffee shop really - when we travel. It's a special treat for the road (or plane as the case may be). Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love the turnpike rest areas. Ours are prettier but theirs are so much more useful!
ReplyDeleteSafe travels!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter. Happy road-tripping, too. How long will you be in Ohio and Penn? Hope you meet lots of new friends.
ReplyDeleteIt is so much easier to travel again! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to be traveling again. I feel grateful for simple things, things I once took for granted, things like having businesses open, things like gourmet food, things like rest stops.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing more about your adventures on the road, Mae.
How nice to be on the road so often. I miss those days when we traveled more.
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip.
I know those rest stops well :) Happy travels!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those rest stops are amazing! All we found on our Arkansas-Los Angeles road trip were gas stations with convenience stores, but at least I did get a yummy, fresh, chocolate-frosted donut at one of them!
ReplyDeleteSnicker bars! My husband loves those.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels Mae and enjoy every minute.
